Hello Folks !!!

sorry its been a while since the last update and so much has happened since then , yet time has flown by so fast.
My new little brother Oran is growing up so fast and still as big as ever , 6.5 kg at the moment and only 12 weeks old . he's a buffer !!!
he's outgrowing all my clothes that i wore at the same age. I had better to nice to him as he may be bigger than me very soon.

He sleeps for a couple of hours at a time now , but still wakes up 2 or 3 times during the night for feeding. Mammy's not too happy !!
but daddy's not getting away too easy either.

i have now moved into my own big bed and that means i am not stuck in the bed like i used to be in my old cot !!!! so whenever i wake up i can go see mammy and daddy and i do !! just because i can !!
daddy's not impressed when he sees more 3 or 4 times a night !! it's wearing a bit thin so i might have to behave a bit more and stay in bed a bit longer.

we've no photo in the update , but we will have some more in the next couple of updates !! this is just a quick update to let you all know that we are all fine.
Oran was nearly in hospital a few weeks ago with a viral respiratory infection , but by the time we saw the doctor , Oran was past the worst , so he didn't have to enter hospital. but he got over that very quickly and is now all healthy again ,..... apart from the lack of sleep for mammy !!!

He's getting bigger and bigger.
he's put on over 0.7 kg since he's been home. he's a lump all right , doesn't do very much at the moment , so all he's good for is kissing on the head !!

He's got the same hat on that i had on ages ago , it's a cute hat sent to me by my cousin Caoimhe from Ireland. so we had to take a picture with Oran in the same hat as well. to see who looks the best in it :)

Of course i would win !!: )

I'm getting quite good at kicking the ball now , so good in fact that i have been banned from kicking the ball in the house ... only outside now :)
not sure what code of football i will play ... maybe a round ball or maybe an oval ball !!! who knows , i can kick both of them equally well !!!

Hello people !! I've got a new brother. i know mammy and daddy had a lot to do with it ....

here's a picture of me with my brother Oran thomas ! , well i think it is him .... it looks like a face in a cloth !!! :) there is a little boy in there !!
this was taken a day after he was born , so he wasn't doing a lot !!

i love to cuddle him and give him gentle kisses , although sometimes i don;t realise how much i lean into him when giving him a kiss !! i have to be very gentle with him !!
there will be some more photos of him in the next few entries, so this blog is not all about me !!! , well not all the time ...

I think this is Dada's revenge. I was caught wearing Daddy's jocks.... ( underwear , for those not familiar with the phrase "jocks" )

well it could have been worse , it could have been Mammy's !!!

now that would be embarrassing.

As it is , i'm just about to do a lap of the house in Daddy's jocks. Great fun indeed.....

I was a sick boy !!!!

Hello everyone .....

well have i a story to tell you now .... I have been in hospital for 2 nights and had to sleep with an oxygen pipe up my nose which was very uncomfortable but i only woke a couple of times.

for the previous week, i had a cold , but just seemed like a normal cold, but on sunday night, i could not sleep and my breathing was very shallow, so mammy called the doctor at 2am. The very nice doctor came out and examined me and thought it was pnumonia , and called the ambulance for me to bring me to hospital. However they later changed the diagnosis ( Daddy is helping with these big words ) to Lower respitory virus , which gave me symptoms of Asthma. So they are not sure if i have Asthma , or just the virus gave me symptoms of Asthma , but either way i have to use a Ventolin puffer every mornng and night for the next week and see how it goes.

I was very good for the doctors and let them examine me. I also let mammy give me my ventolin without too much fuss.

The picture above shows me with my oxygen pipes in my nose. I hated them , but i kept them in. I was a brave boy !! :)

i only spent 2 nights in there... and they let me home then. Mammy was especially glad to get home and finally get some decent sleep.

all this action and my little brother/sister is only 4 weeks away ..... exciting times , although i think mammy and daddy can do without this sort of excitement.

but i got a spin in the ambulance ...YEAH....

i'm still very tired at the moment , but i am getting better day by day.... It was really sad to see all the other sick kids in there. Maybe i am not too bad after all :

I have a lot to be grateful for !!!

my hat is on back to front but at least i got the strap in place correctly

i'm quite proud of my dressing .... but certainly room for improvement , i will admit !!!

WOW another update

Here's a photo of me and mammy in a boat in Warrnambool. the sea was very calm that day .... :) in fact it was a sea of sand !! We were able to rock the boat , but we could move very far , maybe just as well !!

We had great fun down there. We saw baby clody get christened ( thats Uncle Tommy and Auntie Vava's newest addition. I love little bubbies , and apparently we are getting our very own little bubba in April. It'll be a little brother or sister for me. I have been practicising kissing the bubby and am looking forward to it's arrival.
I think it's coming from Big W's as mammy seems to get loads of stuff from there ..... :)

I'm still not sleeping the full night and sometimes wake up , but they soon have me back down to sleep , they are getting quite good at it now !
I have been having a few little temper tandrums as well , but mammy seems well able to handle them. I will have to come up with a new strategy to get what i want :)

mammy has my bag packed , ready to leave in case these fires get too close to us ... i don't see too much of them, but as long as we are all safe ...

Hello everyone..... i'm was getting a bit tired of Daddy's laziness in not updating my blog, so i decided to take things into my own hands and try it myself ,

as you can see , i have the whole setup , headphones as well although there was no-one to talk to ....

i tried to update the blog , but then i realised that i didn;t have the login to do it , so i had to give up and let Dada do it , whenever he got off his butt to do it.

Well enough about him and more about me !!!!!

My favourite word at the moment is "NO" and i certainly use it a lot. I don't really say Yes , i just don't say NO !! its all a game , trying to keep mammy and Daddy on their toes.....which i certainly do .

i still wake up during the night , and sometimes dont want Mammy to leave me , so they have to give me a bottle to get me back to sleep -- hehe , i just love a bottle in the middle of the night !!

However i think they are starting to get a bit fed up with it and so may not play along with it for much longer.

I'm still growing and growing out of my cool clothes. mammy keeps having to check all my clothes to make sure that i dont have any stored away that would fit me now.

Mammy gave me an old kangaroo skin that she had when she was young ,and i love it....in fact i love the feel of it on my skin - it's really soft ..... i'm sure the kangaroo was not too pushed abput the fact of being a rug ....... but its too late now !!!!

i'll get the ould chap to update this again soon with some better pictures

Hello everyone

Well hasn't Daddy been the slackest of Daddys and has not updated my Blog for ages now . here's a quick picture of me outside with my sun hat on , although there wasn't much sun about , mammy is a bit of fussy wussy about these sorts of things

so whats been happening ? Lots and lots
I'm now able to run and always want to run everywhere because i can ! This however is not always a good thing as i've had a few falls , i have loads of brises on my knees and last week i got my first big cut - i had a grazed knee and a cut on my hand - i fell on the gravel road and there were some tears after that i have to admit.

But after a few minutes Mammy was ok !!! hah ha
I love lawn mowers and i hope Santa brings me one for christmas , i've been out pushing Daddy's lawn mower trying to show him how to do it , but it's a bit of a challenge still.
I love gardening tools , not the toy plastic one , but the real ones , the ones Daddy wants to use.

I still love my swimming , although today i didn't like the instructor and was not a happy camper and made sure she knew that i wasn't happy. appareantly i am very expressive about what i don"t want. daddy says i got that from my mammy's side. I think thats a brave thing to say for Daddy !!!

Woodend outdoor swimming pool will be open soon and i hope mammy takes me down there lots and lots. maybe daddy will take me at the weekends as well. i can nearly swim as well as Daddy, but thats not a great achievement - poor daddy , maybe i will teach him when i am grown up , at 5 years old !

Hello everyone , here's a photo of me that Daddy is keeping for my 21st birthday. It's me pushing a pink pram and i wanted to push it. Mammy tried to pickme up while i was pushing and i was not happy..... i can throw a good tantrum when i don;t get my way..... i've started early !!!

This picture was taken in Galway at my Uncle Tony and Helen's place and i was pushing my cousin Caoimhe's pram. thanks for the lend of the pram , but i'm not sure Daddy would buy me one of these !!!

this was one of my long walks and that was ages ago. I'm now walking full time and having plenty of tumbles , new bruises and war wounds ......

Mammy has bought me a pair of gumboots ( wellies for those in Ireland and don;t know what gumboots are !!! ) and i love walking out in the garden. i try to help Daddy in the garden , but i'm not sure he appreciates my help. he smiles , but i know that he doesn't appreciate me pulling up his plants - they all look like weeds to me !!!! :)

Mammy bought me an indoor playhouse which i can climb in and out of and there is a slippery dip on it which i can climb up on ....but only when mammy or daddy is there with me.

i can't wait for the summer when i can bring all my toys outside and play out there a lot more ...

Daddy's camera is broke so hopefully soon he'll get his bum in gear and get it fixed so i can post some photos so you can all see how cute i am now , akthough i do need a haircut, mammy !!!! :)

some people call me a little girl - now thats emabrrassing !!!

Wow - what a busy month it has been

Hello everyone , sorry it's been a while since i've written to the blog but i've been a busy boy..... with a trip to Ireland to visit my rellies over there and then learning to walk. Man it's been busy and tiring !!

Firstly i've been on a huge plane journey over to Ireland which i really enjoyed and behaved myself really well, much to mammy and daddy's delight. I slept well , ate well and didn't cause any trouble , in fact a nice lady complimented me on my beaviour ...( if only she knew the "real" me !!! )

daddy didn't like the special meal that he ordered , trying to be smart and get his food earlier, so he ate my dinner , which was yummy , but i preferred the bottle food that mammy had for me.

Meeting all the aunties and uncles in Ireland was really great , especiallly meeting my twin cousins who are only 9 days older than me - they certainly taught me a few tricks that i didn't know about - thanks michael and thomas !!!

We got on really well and they shared their toys with me which was really nice - i hope they come to australia so i can share my toys with them !! Thanks to all the people in ireland for all the kindness and all the food - mammy and daddy have certainly been in good paddocks , if you know what i mean - lets just say they are not fading away with the hunger !!!

i also met Hansrudi and therese from Switzerland - very nice people who came all the way over just to see me ..... well they did tour around ireland as well , but i like to think that they came to see me !! :) i hope to see you again in switzerland someday......

The picture above was taken in northern ireland at a lovely beach - lovely but cold ! and it wa sa long walk to the beach - thanks to daddy for carrying me - i had a taste of the seaweed there - wouldn't recommend it !!! :-)

and of course seeing granny bob - that was great , she gave me hugs and kisses every day - not that i always wanted them , but that didn't stop her.

it was a great trip , but i don't think mammy and daddy found it a very realxing one, as i was not sleeping really well at night , and was up at 5.30 every morning , ready for the day - well i thought i was , i was buggered again by 9.00am !!! and needed a big nap !!

I was teething , thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it !!! they had better get used to my early mornings, because i think i am an early bird and like getting up early !!

Amd i am also now walking !!! YEAH!!!!!! i started over in ireland - took my first steps and then there was no stopping me. i now mostly walk around the house on my own. i don't crawl as much. i'm getting pretty staeady on my feet and finally mammy was able to buy me gum-boots , ( or wellies for those in ireland and don't know what gum-boots are !!! - aussie term !! ) so it's been a HUGE month for me , as you can see.

i'll try to get daddy to post a photo of me walking - i look cool !! even if i do say so myself !!!

Don't tell me that i don't share.... Look at these 2 lovely cats and guess where they are sleeping ?????

Yup - on my change table ....

up high where i can't get at them .... who sais cats aren't clever...

Aare was very sick at this time and i think Fox was giving hism some comfort, as the 2 cats never slept together before....

Mammy had to chnage my nappy on the floor as she did not want to disturb them ... she's too soft , thats what i say !!!

Todays the 1st of june , and it's still lovely mild weather here in Woodend , although the nights gets rather chilly - good job mammy and daddy got the ducted heating installed ...... otherwise it'd would be a "BRRrrrrrrrr " very cold night ...

I'm still a bit lazy in the walking area- why walk and fall when i can crawl as fast as anything and get to where i want to get to on all fours - "four wheel drives are better !! "

anyways i can stand when i want to and get at whatever i want to get to ... i'm very persistant and mammy knows when i am at something i shouldn't , because thats when there is silence and she has to check up on me....

I'm starting to get a liking to power points and light switches ... i think i want to a an electrician when i grow....might be quicker changing light bulbs than daddy !!!

it's 10.30 on sunday morning and i have to go to church , our neighbour ( also called Liam ) is getting christened today , so we all off to help them celebrate ...

Hello again ....

It's Liam the bus driver, i've converted my nappy box into a comfy bus for my teddy's and i push it along the carpet !!

I'm still a bit wobbly on my feet but today i walked along as i pushed the chair and mammy was very excited to see this .. she had to call Daddy at work to tell him !!

Of course it's no big deal for me .. but i don't let them know that !!

I also have a new tooth ( about time too ... ) so now i have 5 and by the way i am feeling i think there are a few more to come along as well .

I've been to the doctor again , and he says that i have asthma , so i have been on antibiotics for the last few days and have been had to use an inhaler as well , although i started off liking the inhaler , now i cry a lot when mammy tried to use it on me ....

It's been a rough few weeks for me in sickness terms , but i hope to start feeling better very sooon as i have not been to swimming for the last 3 weeks and i miss this very much ...

I shared my birthday cake with 2 of my playgroup friends who also had birthdays around the same time.... Madison and Poppy

we had a great time .. we were in a big garden in Mount macedon and we had great fun rolling and playing in the grass and grounds...

Now that i am old and mature at 1 year old, it's been a busy year for me and mamy and daddy.

Do i love cycling or what ????

finally i get to ride a real bike , even if it is only in a bike seat, but i think i have the best seat

I think i look really cute in the helmet , even if it is a bit big for me.

Thanks to Ian and Kane who gave this present to mammy and Daddy for their wedding present , it has taken a while to get some use, but now it'll be well used.

This was my first trip in it, we went around to auntie Alex's house - it was only a short trip , but i enjoyed it.

since then Mammy has taken me to playgroup in it - the other chicks at playgroup were impressed with my wheels !!! I'm a star !!!

My helmet is a bit big for me - it's a cool one with trains on it ... daddy's jealous , he wants one just like ,

It's good sitting on the back of the bike ... i can slap mammy on the backside , when she's not pedalling fast enough.

Daddy hasn't taken me out for a ride yet - maybe thats a good thing.... !!! I think mammy may be safer.

hello everyone - don't i look old !!!

I'm one year old now and i've already got my bike license - well not quite , but i am practicing on my new trike that mammy and daddy got for me for my birthday.

It's really cool and it's got a handle on it so they can push me around and i don't even have to peddle - i know some of you out there would like one fo these as well !!

As you can see , mammy has still not been brave enough to cut my hair so my curls are flowing in the wind !

I'm now able to crawl on all fours and i am very mobile - they have to be very quick to close doors or i am gone out the door !! i have been spotted standing a few times at the toy box or at mammy's bed side locker. I'm still very wobbly on the feet and still have my L plates on !!

But i am getting stronger and soon i will be running around - there'll be no stopping me then !!

it' getting colder here now and thanks to my auntie jenny in ireland , i now have a lovely warm jacket which will keep me warm - i might get daddy to put that picture up in my next posting !

Hello again -- do you like my curls ??? i think it's time mammy got brave and cut my hair !! although i lik my curls

mammy thought she was safe on the couch but i now what i want - and now i'm pretty determined to get it !

I can commando crawl along the ground and i can get on all fours , but still haven't figured out how to move on all fours - i can my little friends at play-group doing it , but i just can't figure out all my moving parts yet !! i can pull myslef up and kneel at the toy box and take out my toys from the box - i alos haven't figured out how to put them back in..... mammy sayd that i get that from my daddy - ie never putting things back !!!

I'm not gettig into that argument !!

In case anyone thought that i was not eating enough , here's prrof that i take my food seriously !!!

I have a problem , one yummy crusket , 2 hands and only one mouth - a sure fire way to create a mess !!!

I still like my food , porridge in the morning - daddy feeds me before he heads off to work. I wave bye-bye to him now as he drives off to the train station. i don't tell him that i think he is lazy and he should walk to the station ..... that would be too cheeky of me and i will need him to drive me around when i am older , so i better keep him on-side !!

I love the blackberries that grow on our road - ( hence the name "Blackberry Lane!!! " ) mammy picks them for me and i eat them but they stain my clothes - more washing for poor mammy !!

my favourite food at the moment is mashed veggies with some stew/pasta sauce/chow mein on top - yummy !!

Winter woolies ....brrrrr

Hello my friends

Don't I look like a right little Irish pixie here !! mammy put this hat on my head , and it's a very tight fit - big head like my Daddy !! and then i forgot i was wearing it !!!

Notice how i am on all-fours now !! i can do this quite a bit now , but i still haven't figured out to move my knees and hands at the same time to get moving !! i can rock back and forth , but no movement ...

won't be long though ! My 4th tooth has FINALLY come down and i now have 4 chompers - all the better for biting Daddy's finger with - well if he is stupid enough tp put it in ....... :)

I've been a bit sick the last few days - bit of a temperature and a bit of a virus - so not feeling myself - been to the doctor today but not much they can do for me ! i will suffer on thru it !! - the little trouper that i am !!!
I'll milk it for another few days with all the attention !

It's getting cold up here now - hence why i am wearing the heavy clothing - summer seems to have left us early and Woodend is cetainly colder than Melbourne ... well i have to take Mammy and Daddy's word for that as i was nice and warm inside my mammy this time last year !!!

I hope mammy and daddy get the heating put into the house soon ..bit chilly on the willy at night time !! ( bit cheeky i know !! )

time for my bottle and i think daddy will have a bottle of a diferent kind once i am in bed - well it is Friday evening .... so he says !!

Hello again

here a picture of me in my little paddle pool - it;s a little turtle shell , but it's really good for the summer time when it's very hot. this day it was 35C , so i was very warm , but after a paddle in this , i was nice and cool - mammy and daddy were too big to sit i it , so i had it all to myslef - i even had a chair in it !!

Happy 2008 - my first New years wishes to you

Hello all ,

and a happy new year to you all. I have finally managed to get Daddy to update the site - too much christmas cheer and pudding , i think !!!

Santa was really good to me this year - he brought me som lovely wrapping paper which was lovelly and crinkly and made for some good fun times playing around with it. There were some toys in there as well , but for the first bit , i loved the paper - thanks to all the generous people who gave me a present - - many thanks indeed - i am so lukcy to have so many kind people in my life...

We had a quiet christmas in Woodend , we had Damian and Linda with 2 year old Mia - i liked her - she made me smile !! i didn't get much turkey though - the others ate it all ... but overall i had a great day ...

I now had 2 bottom teeth and one top tooth with the other top one coming thru so now there will be no finger safe.... as i like to chew other people's finger - not my own !!

I went thru a sick patch last weeek , which had mammy and Daddy a bit worried, becasue i had the liquid poohs and not drinking much , although i didn't lose my appetite at all... i am a callaghan , after all !!!

This photo was taken on Mount Kosiusko national park, which is just below the highest point in australia ( mount kosiusko ) - thanks to daddy for the spelling

We stayed at the ski resort of Thredbo , and then took a chair lift up to the top - i was very brave and loved the chair ride - although i think daddy was a bit nervous holding me !! He held me tight going up !

It was cold enough up there , hence why i am rugged up ! I saw my first snow as well - there was some left up at the top of the mountain. didn't think too much of it actually - i was hungry adn wanted my bottle !!

We are back home now .... i am settling down a bit better now although the first few nights home , i was not too happy , but i am sleeping a bit better now - usually from 7pm till about 4am , when i may have some issues and really try to get back to sleep again !

i'm back eating well again , as you can see, i am not a starving child !!

I love my porridge in the morning with mammy and daddy and this morning I had my first Weetabix cereal. I love my fruit.

I used to like Veggies but not so much now , but mammy thinks she tricks me by putting some pureed apple in with the veggies to get me to eat them. I eat them , but i know what her trick is - she's not fooling anyone with that trick 1!!

unusual taste though !!

Hello everyone

Last week , we wnet our on first family holiday , well i am not counting the wedding weekend as a holiday , - this was our first real family holiday away and i don't think Mammy or Daddy would call it a very relaxing holiday.

Unfortunately I did not sleep well at night and spent a lot of time crying and generally unhappy - i was not a happy camper , as they say !!

We went to Eden on the south Eastern coast of New South Wales and stayed there for 3 nights. On the way we called to see where Mammy went to school and tried to visit some of the places she used to visit as a young nipper all those years ago !!!

You can see in the photo that i now have a new favourite seat - and it's Daddy powered as well. It's great fun as i can get to hit daddy on the head. I would pull his hair , but he doesn't have much at the moment !! I get a great view from up here.

This picture was taken in our beach-side cabin , which was only 10 metres from the sea and i got my first wet foot from the sea - mammy dunked my feet into the sea !!

Daddy went fishing and caught 3 fish - although he did get sick on the boat - see i am not the only one who vomits !!!

no sign of any teeth yet either - i'm blaming them for my grumpiness on holidays !!!

I will get Daddy to put some more photos of me up in the next installment

Hello everyone - thank you for your lovely comments. it's great to hear from you all.

At the moment , i'm not feeling the best , i am going thru some teething issues , as you can see by my big red rosy cheeks.

i'm not that hungry now , i don't eat as much as i used to and sometimes i don't want to eat the lovely pureed veggies that Mammy has made for me, ... but i do still like some stewed fruit and yogurt ... organic yogurt of course...

hopefully they come out soon , there's no sign of them yet ... they are a rela pain in the bum , except the pain is in my mouth !!! but you know what i mean....

This is only a short post as Daddy want to go watch "The Bill" on tv - he should get his priorities right !!!

Bythe way , i have now lost my green chair - it was only a loan and the other person wanted it back - the funny thing is that his name is also Liam and he lives next door to us in Woodend - he is about 4 weeks younger than I am !!!

imagine that - 2 liams living next door to each other !!

Hello everybody - it's been a long time coming but i've got Daddy off his lazy bum and updated my Blog. He had some technical issues with the camera downloading photos , but i think he's just lazy !!

Since my last entry a lot has happened , we have moved house to Woodend , which i love. I have new friends next door who is also called Liam and about 4 weeks younger than me , so that will be fun when we grow up !

Do you like my chair ? it's made of foam and allows me to sit up straight - i can't sit in a chair on my own yet so this keeps me from falling sideways.

daddy says he would like one when he has a few beers now as he falls sideways too !!

Our house is really cool up here and now that winetr has past , the weather should be getting a bit warmer. apparently we are getting ducted heating for next winter ...yes please !!

We have joined a mothers group up here and i get to play with loads of other kids my own age and there's plenty og girls about - yeuch , girly germs !!!

Also i have started swimming , well its called water familiarisation which just introduces us to water. mammy is very good to bring me to this - apparently i looked quite cute in my swimmers and top - i can nearly swim as much as Daddy ...... thats not saying a lot though !! Mammy's a good swimmer though...

Now that Daddy has started to update again , i will get him to post another one to tellyou about our house in Woodend and what else is happening in our lives !!

Hello again people - a quick action shot of me trying to teach Daddy to read. It's a nice bok with pop-out pictures and daddy seems to like it.

He's a bit slow on the reading bit , but i think i can help him. He needs practice but i intend to make him read to me all the time.

Hello again everyone, it's been a while since my last addition to the blog , but my Daddy has been Lazy !!

Finally i managed to get him to get off his lazy behind and update you all with my latest news.

I've had my second round of immunisation injections which made me howl with pain and i think it brought a tear to mammy's eyes as well but she was brave. I was cranky for the rest of the day and not all happy.

I've been to the maternal health nurse as well and they were very happy with my progress. i now weigh a healthy 6.45kg and i am 64cm long - all within the average weight and height range so nothing wild there.

I am looking forward to moving to woodend with mammy and daddy - i will have my own room again and i am looking forward to having my own veggie patch. I'm surprised that mammy hasn't bought me gum boots ( wellies for those in Ireland , they call them gumboots here in OZ ) yet. she is SO organised in all the other areas !!

I've been having a lot of gas issues lately - daddy is very proud of my farts..... i think he is even jealous as i can get away with squeezing a few noisy ones off !! :) hahahaha

Mammy took this photo of me with my rugby top and my beanie - i look like a thug !!! but i'm not really. This is one of the last photos taken in the old baby capsule - i have now been upgraded to a deluxe baby seat - much more padded and comfy and nicer to travel in. The only bad thing is that it can't be removed from the car , so they have to remove me from the car even if i am asleep , but i will settle for the extra comfort !

I'm now able to hold things with both hands and i love to chew things. everything now goes to the mouth first - i only hope mamy cleans it before it gets there !!! :)

anyways , its nap time - and i need a nappy change so i think i will get daddy to change it and maybe i will get to "get" him again- i still try !!

It's not all fun and games !!! I'm not too impressed in this photo.

In the Capsule again - i prefer the pram actually but i have no say. I do like my new hat though - very cool......

These days i love playing under my kiddy gym , hitting all those things that hang down. I now chew my hands quite a bit and have started to hold my own hands. I talk a good bit now although no-one seems to understand what i am saying - no wonder i dont have a happy look !!

I do like driving in the car though - the only benefit of the capsule - i usually end up falling asleep....

Hello everyone - this is one of Mammy's favourite photo's of me. And isn't it a beauty. I had just woken up from my nights sleep and was i happy to see Mammy - it meant breakfast !!!!

I wasn't expecting to see a camera , but i did what i could !!!

This was taken 3 weeks ago , but it's taken this long to get the picture onto the Blog. Sometimes Daddy can be SO slow !

I'm still sleeping about 6-7 hours in one block from about 10pm till 4am.

I've been busy travelling to look at houses in Woodend providing my opinion where it was asked and sometimes where it was not !!! I have a lot to say you know !!

Hello everyone

again it's been a while since i've written here. I've been to the maternal helath nurse again for my regular checkup and they stripped be bollock naked again and weighed me - 6.03Kg i am in the normal weight range - my head size is slightly smaller than average - quality not quantity !!

I've got a bit of Skull Cap - flaky scalp - it's not good for impressing the ladies.
At mammy's mothers group there mostly other girl babies there - i check them out and see what they're like - it'll be a few years before i'm chasing them !!! Daddy is proud of me for checking them out !!

I've been travelling up with Mammy and Daddy to Woodend where they're looking at buying a new house - i checked out some new houses - but i didn't have much to say , in fact it was boring , so i slept thru it !! when i did have something to say , it was only to say that i was hungry !
Well a boy has got to eat !!!

I went to see Daddy playing rugby last Saturday. I cheered and cheered for him , but then mammy said that he wasn't even on the pitch yet !! but i cheered anyways !
daddy played well , except that he fumbled the ball , when he should have scored - Hope i am better than Daddy !

it's late and it's bath time. i've puked all over myself today , so i badly need a bath. so does mammy , as i always seem to get her as well !!

Hello everyone

it's been a while since i have updated this Blog - i've been a busy boy - i've had lots of stuff to do and i had to make sure Mammy and Daddy got married ok and then i had my christening.

Then we also had my Granny Bob from ireland , auntie Gay and Uncle Art and my cousins visiting. They were staying with us , so i lost my room , but now they're gone , i think i will be moving back into my own room.

Mammy and Daddy think it's time i moved into my own room - i think they want some sleep !!!

I'm sleeping well ..... most nights , from 10pm till about 3.30am or sometimes later if i am not too gassy or hungry.

Daddy doesn't seem to hear me when i wake during the night - maybe thats his selective hearing , but some nights , he has no choice but to hear me. sometimes in the evening i have some gas issues !! Daddy is quite impressed with my farting ......

I now weigh over 5.4kg , and i am now 10 weeks old , and about 59 cm in lenght. I've already grown out of my first set of clothes ... i am on my next set of clothes .... for bigger boys !!

apparantly i have big hands and you know what that means !!!! :)

Yes , it means i will need big gloves .... why, what were you thinking ?????

It's late , i need to get my beauty sleep -

This was taken on the day after the wedding - I was very well behaved on the day , I never cried and slept thru most of it.....

Poor daddy was trying his best to help by changing my nappy , but he waited too long before putting the new nappy on ....... and I got him !!!!

Hello again ...
just a quick note to let you all know how i got on at the maternal health nurse.....

my weight today was 4.368 Kg and my lenght was 56cm. I've put on a few g's ( my birth weight was 3.45 kg )

they stripped me naked again today and put me on the scales , but i got them back - i pee'd over their mat. daddy would have been proud of me ... The nurse was quite happy with me and says i was very alert for my age and also very active ..... doesn't she know my nickname - "wiggle worm " ...

thanks to mammy for driving me up to the nurse today. I was looking forward to the buggy ride , but there wasn't time for it , so we had to drive instead.
I'm looking forward to meeting my irish relatives next week - they're all coming over to see me apparently - although mammy and daddy have something on as well , but i know it's me they're coming to see.... Really !!

Wednesday is a busy day as we go to get mammy's dress fitted - this is boring , i think i will sleep thru it ... this is girly stuff

i'm tired , i'm off to sleep - maybe , if these belly aches go in time ...

Hello there again , baby liam here again

Here's a picture of me with my easter bunny that mammy and daddy bought me. Mind you , this was the last i saw of this bunny. I never saw it again , well i thought I saw the wrapper in the bin , but i could not be sure - they would have given me a piece ..... surely. !!!!

do you like my little gloves - they stop me scratching myself , which apparently i like to do.....

things are going good for me ... i'm stilling feeding every 3 hours , or sometimes a bit less if i get a bit peckish. I still pooh and pee a great deal and Daddy is quite proud of the farting noises I can make !!

I've even pee'ed on daddy a few times - not that I meant it , but he moves quick , when it heads his direction. His goal keeping skills comes in handy !!!

I'm growing into my clothes and have already gone past 000 clothes onto 00 clothes., I'm still being called Wiggle worm....

i have my next appointment with the maternal health nurse on monday where they weigh me and measure and do a general check up. It's not fun being bollock naked on a weigh scales and i let them know !!!

I will let you know how i get on with the nurse....

although i'm not sure about the Harry-HighPants looks that Mammy and Daddy have gone for ..... i think i would prefer my top over my pants...

but as i am too young to put on my own clothes.. there's not much i can do , except complain on my blog !!!

Hello again , it's liam here again .... Daddy has finally let me back on the computer - maybe i shouldn't drool on the keyboard this time !!!

Here's a picture of me being changed - I've now got the nickname of "wiggle-worm" as I am rather active when they try to change my nappy.

I've also managed to wee on mammy a few times - i can't help it - it's the cold air when the nappy comes off .... :)

I go thru a few clothes changes during the day.

As for that nappy that you saw daddy changing in the previous post.... ha - useless. It was the right end all right , but not very tight - as useless as tits on a bull , as daddy would say ...

It only took 2 hours for me to soak my clothes and my wrap. a good lesson for daddy !!!

I've given Mammy and Daddy a good start for the last 2 weeks , but i have been feeling a bit grizzly during the nights and don't sleep too well , but i sleep well during the day and give mammy a chance to catch up on some sleep.

Mammy has started to put me on my front now , to help me build my neck muscles.

I've also been caught out in my first rain shower in my buggy - maybe mammy should check the weather before she goes to the shops !! I was nice and dry - but i think mammy may have got a bit wet before she got home......

anyways i had better go - Daddy's home from work. He'll want his computer back.....

Nappy changing lessons

Who said this child farming was easy ???

As any parent knows ( and now we're one of them ) there's nothing like finding a full wet nappy of mustardy coloured stuff. You'd only change your own child's !!

here's my attempt at nappy changing, at least i got the nappy on the right end of the baby :)
We've had Liam out again in the pram this morning and he seems to like it. Well he was asleep for the whole trip, so it's hard to know :)
We could say that he definitely didn't dis-like it !!

He mustn't like other people in his photos !!

Liam is eating well so he's a typical callaghan boy. He is a quiet child , once he's fed and cleaned and sleeps quite well.

He hardly cries at all, until yesterday when he finally did cry and we were actually relieved that he did so, but he only cried for a few seconds.

He's a great traveller , never a squeak out of him if we put him in the buggy or the capsule in the car.

more updates later - when there's more to report about !! :)

I've been quite busy lately - I've been to the hairdresser with mammy although i didn't get anything done to my hair - it's fine as it is apparantly !!

I've been up to the local Post office to post off some photos to Granny in Ireland... I'm a busy person with things to do and people to see.....

It's not easy being a baby, although the lifestyle is good - food and drink provided and your nappy changed regularly !!

Daddy is quite impressed with my farting !!

Ok , after thousands of requests, for a picture of me , i have finally had to relinquish and publish one ,

here's one with Rosie, Victoria, liam and of course me !!

This was taken not long after the birth and we'd like to thank Rosie for being there and helping out with the birth ...

Now, you may see the newspaper there in the photo, but I wasn't reading it during the birth... :)

It'll be sealed up and given to liam at some time in future , so he can see what was going on in the world when he was born

hello - it's baby Liam here - and today mammy and Daddy took me on my first trip outside in my new buggy.

here's a picture of us after we came back..... i'm fast asleep at this stage but it was a big day for me.

We walked up to the shopping centre - it was a very bouncy ride - i think Daddy needs to let some air out of those tyres, they were a bit bouncy on the hard Park tracks on the way to the shopping centre. I definitely had no gas left in me after that trip ....

and some of the driving around the shopping centre wasn't the best either - i think mammy and daddy need buggy driving lessons...

but they did buy me a new lamp for my room , so i don't have to use the big lights, which hurt my eyes....

But we made it back safely - our first trip out !!!

liam's first week

Hello all

welcome to the blog for little Liam , where you can follow along on our journey.

Liam Patrick was born on the 20th March 2007 at 1.45pm.

Victoria really wanted Liam to be born on St. Patrick's day , but depsite all her pushing, he didn't want to budge. He was getting too used to the indoor life.

But he decided to make a very quick move on the 20th , and was born a very healthy 7lb 10 oz.

A small turkey , as they say !
We arrived at the Mercy women's hospital at 1.15pm and he was born 30 minutes later , so not a lot time lost , by the little fella !

The widwives at the Mercy Birthing Centre were really fantastic and made the whole birthing experience a really positive experience.

We only spent 2 days in the Birthing Centre before we came home, but they follow up with midwife visits at home to make sure you are coping , so they have been really helpful and giving us great advice.

So far , since we have been home , he has been feeding well and sleeping very well. He is a pretty quiet baby really , and long may that continue !!

But he's docile , just like his Dad !!! once he's fed and cleaned !!! :)

thats all for now , till i figure out how to insert more pictures and put them where i want , not where this blog wants to put them !! :)
